Plain terms for a place built on plain rules.
What you contribute is signed by your key. That makes it provably yours, and it stays yours. We do not claim ownership of what you create.
One set of rules holds everywhere on Möbius, across every Strip and every client, that no community charter can override: nothing that targets people for who they are, that sexualizes children, or that organizes real-world harm is allowed, ever. This is the floor. It is the same everywhere, and it is not negotiable.
Above the platform floor, each community Strip sets its own rules through Inscriptions — plain-language behavioral expectations written and maintained by its Steward. By joining a community Strip, you agree to its Inscriptions alongside the platform floor.
By participating you agree to treat other people with basic respect. Harassment, abuse, and objectionable content are not tolerated. There is zero tolerance for content or users that violate the platform floor. We act on reports within 24 hours. You can also hide any person's contributions from your own view at any time.
Because Möbius records are cryptographically signed, removal means the content is retracted (no longer served) rather than erased from the signed log. Participants who seriously or repeatedly violate these terms are ejected and their credentials revoked.
Interpersonal Strips (one-to-one connections) have no community Steward. Your safety tools are Hide (personal mute) and Departure (leaving the Strip). Reports on interpersonal Strips are handled by the platform operator within 24 hours.
The depth tier is an optional subscription ($4/month or $40/year) that unlocks cloud inference in the Narrative Core. The free tier is the permanent floor — it is never degraded, locked, or made to feel broken. The subscription is managed through Apple's App Store. You can cancel at any time through your device's subscription settings.
You can delete your account at any time. Deletion is irreversible and complete — your identity, records, and media are permanently removed.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Möbius. By creating an identity, you affirm that you meet this requirement.
Möbius is provided as-is. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The relay may be unavailable for maintenance. Your local data persists independently of relay availability.

If these terms change, the updated version will be available in the app and the effective date will be updated. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
